THE VILLAGE HALL FOYER AND TOILETS ARE NOW OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. WE ASK THAT CARE IS TAKEN WHEN USING THE PUBLIC FACILITIES TO PREVENT THE RISK OF SPREADING COVID 19.
THE MAIN HALL REMAINS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC AND EVENTS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
Kirknewton Hall is in the middle of the village next to the Church of St Gregory the Great.
The purpose-built hall is designed to be used by the community for a wide range of activities. It can also be hired to host special events such as a birthday party, formal meal, concert, play or wedding reception.
The Hall's kitchen and bar facilities were recently refurbished, so you can either bring in a caterer or do it yourself.
The main room is a blank canvas, which means you can decorate and personalise it as you want.
Staging and lighting, which can add those extra finishing touches, are optional extras. (Please see our facilities/charges page from the drop down box in our menu or contact us for more information).
The village hall's main room can seat up to 120 people for a formal meal.
It's a great space for live music events, plays, Northumbrian nights and ceilidhs.
There's also a smaller adjoining room where a buffet supper may be set out as part of the occasion or perhaps used for a meeting.
Among the hall's recent concerts were Mambo Jambo and supporting artistes.
The hall holds regular pub and quiz nights and an annual exhibition by local artists.
The village hall can be hired for sports events such as badminton, archery, art classes and exhibitions.
